Tesco – the third largest retailer on the planet – came shopping for a new global careers site. Now that’s our kind of challenge. They asked us to build something that would appeal to and inspire candidates of all levels with the wide range of opportunities within the Tesco group, not only in the UK and Ireland, but in countries like Thailand and Malaysia too. Our solution had to be fresh, engaging and authentic, as well as scalable and mobile optimised.
We designed and built a site that provides every potential employee, no matter where they are in the world, with their own unique experience of Tesco. In essence, we took their big, complex story and made it simple, engaging and personal. Everything on the site is personalised, from targeted content to local opportunities. We even created a customised social media wall.
Tesco were hugely impressed with the site we delivered. They loved the eye-catching homepage design, emphasis on video content over text, and overall intuitive user experience. Since launch there has been more than 500,000 visitors a month across the 4 sites, with just over a third reaching the Apply pages. It’s a big result for Tesco – and an even bigger result for us.
