UWE Bristol believes in providing an environment that equips students with skills for the real world, through simulated real-world learning environments, innovative teaching methods, and close partnerships with businesses and employers. Despite this powerful offering, they had almost no brand awareness outside their locality. We had to make a name for UWE Bristol.


Through research and insight, we developed the brand positioning 'The University for the Real World' and created a visual identity. We have leveraged this to run several high-profile campaigns that communicate with different audiences, including international students in specific countries such as Brazil. We've also produced visual identity guidelines, and also produced a high-end cinematic style short film that creates a true sense of brand identity.


Our work saw applications rise dramatically, with a 19% increase the first year, and a 29% increase the following year. We also saw greater engagement with UWE Bristol across a range of social channels with ‘likes’ on various pages increasing by up to 1000%.
