CASE STUDY: FORD - TRAIN THE TRAINER

HELPING FORD’S TRAINERS GET UP TO SPEED. FAST.

The Challenge

Sales Consultants at Ford need to understand all the detailed information behind every product they’re selling – typically they use product guides and various digital learning materials to get up to speed. But when Ford released five new Commercial Vehicles at once, across 20 European markets, we knew they’d need a little more help than usual.

The Solution

We created an ‘Instructor-led Training Pack’ which could be cascaded to each European market in their own language and developed a ‘Train the Trainer’ event that would bring representatives from each market together for a ‘hands-on’ learning experience that they wouldn’t soon forget. The event included an exciting driving experience on a route that was landscaped specifically to showcase the capabilities of the vehicles and with a professional driver in the cab to make sure they really were put to the test.  This energised our participants so that they, in turn, could enthuse their learners back at home!

The Results

Our materials and event were a big success, with Trainers from every European market providing us with great feedback. From 82% of them rating our materials 5* to 100% of them committing to holding live training in their own markets, we introduced Ford’s new vehicles in a fun, memorable and immersive way.
